OGEL (Open General Export License for export of Major Platforms & Equipment)

The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, pursuant to the authority granted to it by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, vide Public Notice No. 4/2015-20, dated 24th April 2017 and in the super-session of the notification dated 14th June, 2022, has separately notified issuance of Open General Export License (OGEL) for export of major platforms & equipment, parts & components and intra-company transfer of technology of SCOMET Category 6 items mentioned in Section II of their respective notifications. The OGEL can be sought for export to the countries mentioned in Section III of these Notifications.

The procedure for grant of OGEL by DDP will be in accordance with the provisions of Standard Operating Procedure notified from time to time.

Online Application for grant of OGEL can be filed by an Exporter on defenceexim.gov.in.
